Jessa Duggar Shares Very Public Photo Of Kiss With Ben Seewald
Jessa Duggar stirred things up when she decided that she wouldn’t share her first kiss with her now husband, Ben Seewald, on their wedding day. Instead, the couple said that they wanted their first kiss to be in private. From the looks of her Instagram feed, it looks like Jessa has no problem letting the world see her plant one on her man — just take a look at her newest post featuring a passionate kiss between her and her husband!
Jessa captioned the photo with the statement, “It’s great living life with your best friend!” and then tagged husband Ben.
For the average patron of the internet, it’s not really that big of a deal to post a photo of a kiss between loving couples, especially newlyweds, but the case of Jessa Duggar is different. Its common knowledge that Jessa, along with her 18 siblings, are not allowed to participate in physical affection whatsoever, in public or in private, before marriage. According to US Weekly, before they said their “I dos,” the couple’s only intimate contact was the occasional side hug. Once they were officially engaged they were allowed to hold hands, but that was as far as things progressed.
E! News added that once Jessa and Ben were married, they decided to take things one step further and didn’t kiss one another at the altar, opting to keep that special moment private.
According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, this isn’t the first time the couple has kissed in public. While Jessa and Ben waited until they were alone to share their first kiss, the report stated that the couple did share quite a few smooches during their wedding reception.
Of course, what wedding would come to an end without some form of kiss! Those who attended the wedding may not have seen Jessa and Ben kiss at the altar, but they did get to see a “Duggar Kiss.” According to the Inquisitr, Pastor Mike Schadt introduced Mr. and Mrs. Seewald and then, after a few minutes of explaining why the newlyweds wouldn’t be sharing a kiss for all to see, he asked Jim Bob and Michelle to do the honors so that the crowd could see a “Duggar Kiss.”
While some may find Jessa’s recent PDA photo to be a little hypocritical, it seems as if fans are overjoyed to see that the couple are enjoying each other’s company. Share what you think of the photo in the comments below!
