WWE News: Backstage Update On Bray Wyatt, WWE Planning To Make Him Creepier?
WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt returned at WWE’s Hell in a Cell PPV last week to attack Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe was not happy about this at all, but many fans were certainly interested. Fans originally complained that WWE did not allow Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to finish their rivalry out right. Ambrose never really gained a victory and now he is being thrown into another rivalry with a returning superstar that WWE wants to push, further killing his potential of winning in a feud.
Of course, then fans realized that this is Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose, two of the best promo guys in the business today. Both men are also great in the ring. Along with that, WWE is pushing two of their hottest young stars. Both men will get main event treatment out of this, which is only good for WWE and the future of the company.
WWE clearly made the return of Wyatt a special thing. The ring opened up with the ghost of Sister Abigail, then Wyatt popped out to attack Ambrose. Most felt this was one of the best return angles WWE has done in some time, when looking back. While yes, it did interrupt a fantastic Hell in a Cell match with Ambrose and Rollins, it was a pretty awesome return. It also was quite reminiscent of Kane’s debut in WWE years ago in the Undertaker/Shawn Michaels match.
It is said that WWE had planned for Wyatt and Ambrose to go into a program together. So the move WWE made at Hell in a Cell was certainly planned for some time. WWE had to do something interesting with Wyatt. He broke away from Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. That meant that he had to come off even better than he once did, because there is no one to watch his back and gang up on wrestlers when Wyatt cannot take them on alone.
WWE plans to make Wyatt creepier and scarier than ever before. While Wyatt always had an ability to scare the crap out of many WWE fans, he has always had something missing that made him fearful to everyone. In his rivalry with Ambrose, we’re seeing that he is willing to go into a dark place to reach the Lunatic Fringe. To most, this is the perfect situation for both men.
Wyatt has to go very dark to get into Ambrose’s head, but due to the crazy that Ambrose is, Wyatt would have to work twice as hard as before. Meanwhile, Ambrose needs a rival that can actually get inside his crazed mind. Every wrestler needs that one rival, and both Wyatt and Ambrose could be the rivalry WWE needs to make a serious push into this new generation that the company has been trying to get into.
Now that Wyatt is going darker than ever, we could just be seeing the start of what Ambrose and Wyatt are capable of. That is obviously a good thing for WWE fans. WWE has potential with Wyatt by taking him to an even darker place, but how far will WWE go? Is there a limit in this PG time period? We’ll have to wait and see what the company has up their sleeves creatively.
