Brett Rossi Hospitalized Due To Medication Reaction Following Split From Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen’s ex-fiancee, Brett Rossi, was hospitalized after an alleged drug overdose. She was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center over the weekend and Anger Management star Charlie Sheen is said to have been in touch with her.
According to Radar Online, Rossi’s hospitalization came after a close friend found the adult film star unresponsive at her home over the weekend. At this point, it is not known what she overdosed on, but sources indicate that she had her stomach pumped and spent one night in the intensive care unit, then another night in a regular care room.
Sources say that her recent split with Sheen, just weeks ahead of their slated wedding day, has taken a big toll on the adult film star. It is said that Charlie is “very concerned” about her and his publicist confirms the two have been in touch.
As People notes, Charlie and Brett, who had also been going by the name Scottine Sheen or Scotty, were due to wed later this month. The Anger Management star and the adult film actress first met last November and things got very serious, very quickly. Sheen called off the couple’s engagement in October, indicating that though the two had enjoyed a wonderful whirlwind year together, their split was amicable.
Many doubted the relationship between these two early on, especially when it seemed to spark intense drama with Sheen’s ex-wives, Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards. There was a lot of skepticism when Charlie and Brett got engaged, and there were rumblings that the actor was deep into using drugs again. There had also been rumors, especially lately, of intense fights between Sheen and Rossi.
More recently, however, Charlie, Brett and Brooke had seemed to mend fences while Denise stayed far away from the drama. TMZ had even recently caught up to Brett, Brooke and her twins with Charlie, Bob and Max, having ice cream together. At that point all seemed well and Rossi even indicated that she and Sheen were thinking of having kids together.
Though at the time of the breakup Sheen indicated that the couple had mutually decided not to spend the rest of their lives together, it would seem that Rossi took the breakup hard. Charlie’s rep, Jeff Ballard, said as the news of Brett Rossi’s hospitalization spread that Sheen “still has a tremendous fondness for Scotty and continues to wish her all the best.”
Update: An insider tells Us Weekly that Brett Rossi’s hospitalization is due to an adverse effect from a newly prescribed medication, not a drug overdose. The source adds that Brett has “always been an advocate for living a healthy, sober lifestyle” and that reports that her stomach needed to be pumped are inaccurate. Few other details have been revealed, so for now those curiously following the story will have to wait and see what comes next.
