Uncle Poodle Wants His Own ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Spin-Off Show On One Condition
Uncle Poodle wants to have his own spin-off reality show, according to a report released by TMZ.
The report states that Uncle Poodle is currently “gunning for his own show in NYC.”
The former Honey Boo Boo star is clearly not allowing TLC’s recent cancellation of the show to stop him from being seen on the small screen.
Uncle Poodle was actually responding to the online petition demanding a spin-off series for Uncle Poodle and Sugar Bear, according to Change.org. The online petition has a statement which claims that a spin-off show will allow Sugar Bear and Uncle Poodle to not “be punished for one cast member’s actions.”
“Giving Sugar Bear and [Uncle] Poodle their own show will keep the show going and not allow other stars in the show to be punished for one cast member’s actions.”
The same statement also continues by coming to the defense of Sugar Bear, claiming that he has “gone above and beyond expectations of any man and father.”
“Sugar Bear has gone above and beyond expectations of any man and father in raising not only his child but others as well, he was [publicly humiliated continuously] by the cast member which caused the ‘Honey Boo Boo’ show to become [cancelled.]”
The statement ends with the petitioners asking TLC to “give the public what they want.”
TMZ reports that Uncle Poodle has already developed a complete pitch for the concept of his potential spin-off show.
Basically, Uncle Poodle and his fiancee will move to New York City and the show would focus on how they adapt to the big city. TMZ compared the concept to a reverse version of the popular 1960s television show, Green Acres which starred Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor.
However, Uncle Poodle have one particular condition that must be met in order for him to be interested in his own spin-off series – the opportunity for Honey Boo Boo herself to make guest appearances. According to the report, Uncle Poodle “doesn’t want the girl punished because of her mom’s misdeeds.”
Uncle Poodle is also reportedly fighting for custody over Honey Boo Boo privately unless Mama June severs ties with her current love interest, Mark McDaniel due to his past history of child molestation.
Do you think that Uncle Poodle should have his own spin-off television series? If the series does get picked up by a major network, would you watch it?
