A nine day old baby in Kentucky was taken from a foster home by its teenage mother. According to WTVQ , the baby’s 16-year-old mother took the child, but did not take the child’s medication. An Amber Alert was issued a short time later. The young mom reportedly took a car from the foster home where she was staying, and skipped town with her medicine-dependent newborn, not telling anyone where she was going.
“The Amber Alert issued Saturday says the mother is driving a 2010 Buick Enclave with a Kentucky license plate, 729MER. The vehicle has a ‘WHS’ sticker and a police dog sticker on the back window. The mother has bleached blonde hair with brown roots. She may be traveling to Cumberland in Harlan County,” WTVQ reports.
The nine day old baby from Kentucky was found a few hours later . According to WLWT , the teen was able to get to Virginia before police got a call. It is unknown why the teen took her baby and fled or where she was going. So far, no criminal charges have been filed against the baby’s mom. It is believed that the little girl is doing okay after the potentially dangerous events that happened over the weekend.
According to the report, the teen mom has been identified as Desirae Nicole Davidson. Police say that Davidson dropped her baby at a friend’s home in Virginia and took off. The friend saw the Amber Alert on television and immediately called police. Davidson’s whereabouts are still unknown. Police have reason to believe that Davidson was traveling to her boyfriend’s house in Harlan County, but have asked anyone with information to come forward.

The nine day old baby was found quickly thanks to the Amber Alert. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , another Amber Alert helped locate a child in Houston . Cameron Gokey, 9, was taken out of school early by his “emotionally unstable” mother. Fortunately, Gokey was found unharmed later on the same night.
“It was soon discovered that Allison Gokey has full legal custody of her son, Cameron, and he was safe. After police spoke with Allison Gokey and Cameron, she was allowed to leave with her son… And the Amber Alert was then cancelled,” reports the Inquisitr .
