Jenni Rivera: Mexican Singer Diana Reyes Says Chiquis Will Never Fill Her Mother’s Shoes

Mexican singer Diana Reyes says Jenni Rivera’s daughter, Chiquis Rivera, will never be able to fill her mother’s shoes, according to the latest post from The Latin Post. In an interview with Diana Reyes, she made it clear that although Chiquis wants to embark on a musical career, she will not be the “next Jenni Rivera.”

Here is what Reyes had to say about Chiquis singing career.

“Well, look, I wish her luck and I hope her career is incredible. I care about her a lot, obviously, and the rest of her family. I really want it to go well for her and that she’s successful. And she should enjoy doing what she wants to do in life. I don’t think that anyone will ever be able to fill Jenni Rivera’s shoes.Each person is unique. So neither Chiquis nor any other artist will be able to occupy Jenni Rivera’s place.”

But Mexican fans say that although Chiquis will not be the next Jenni Rivera, they want it to be clear that Diana Reyes can’t take the singer’s place, either—though they accuse her of trying. Since the death of Jenni Rivera, loyal fans have accused Diana Reyes of slowly trying to imitate the singer, stating that her music, her hair, her make up and even her clothing have changed. Reyes was lambasted on a social media page after she was observed singing on the stage with a bottle of tequila, a classic Jenni Rivera move.

In an interview with Aqui And Ahora several weeks ago, Diana Reyes admitted that while she admired Jenni Rivera’s strength, talent and independence, she knows that there will only be one Jenni Rivera.

As for Chiquis Rivera, she has had to deal with a lot of backlash and drama following the death of her mother, from accusations of sleeping with her stepfather (allegations she denies) to trying to take her mother’s place. It seems that no matter what she does, Chiquis is bombarded with negative comments on her social media pages from disgruntled Jenni Rivera fans.

One has to question how Rivera’s fans could claim their undying devotion to the fallen star, but find it easy to viciously attack the love of Jenni’s life…her children—including Chiquis.

Many Jenni Rivera fans feel that they have a right to be angry with Chiquis, since Jenni had fallen out with her daughter shortly before her death. However, hours before her death Jenni Rivera did acknowledge her daughter in her last concert, giving Chiquis hope that she had forgiven her or that she had at least contemplated making things right between them.

One thing is for sure, Chiquis Rivera will have to conjure up a whole lot of positive vibes in order to withstand the pile of negativity that will be heaped upon her over the course of her life and career. Earlier this month, The Inquisitr reported that Jenni Rivera’s husband, Esteban Loaiza, sued the company that he felt was responsible for the fatal plane crash that killed the beloved singer. He has since withdrawn the suit.
