Katt Williams and Suge Knight were both arrested for the alleged robbery of a photograph. Based upon prior brushes with the law, it’s possible Knight face may serious prison time based upon the worst case scenario, and even Williams may end up spending years behind bars.
In a related report by the Inquisitr , Katt Williams’ Bentley was allegedly stolen as an act of revenge at one point and it’s alleged that Suge Knight was involved somehow in the crime.
Police reports say that Katt Williams was arrested when he showed up in court for a prior assault and battery case. Back in July, Williams was sued by his former tour manager, who claimed that Williams hit him “with such force and power that he was rendered unconscious for a period of 90 seconds.” The case is still pending, although Williams’ arrest is sure to add another wrinkle to the issue.
Suge Knight was picked up in Las Vegas, but both were booked for the same robbery. It’s said that Williams and Knight were both involved in a crime where they snatched a camera from a female photographer in Beverly Hills on the date of September 5, 2014. According to Rolling Stone , reports say this woman is known as a “celebrity photographer” although police have the not released the identity of the woman.
Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin says Katt Williams and Suge Knight both walked out of a studio together when they came across the photographer. They both chased the woman into an alley, and Williams “forcibly” took away the camera, causing minor injuries to the woman. By time police came to the scene of the crime, Williams and Knight had been long gone. It’s also believed that an unknown man and woman were with the two men at the time.
With Katt Williams arrested, the comedian faces a potential sentence of seven years in prison for his part in the alleged crime. According to the Los Angeles Times , Suge Knight faces up to 30 years in prison because he has already been convicted for assault with a deadly weapon in addition to a history of assault and drug charges. The bail for Knight has already been set at $1 million, while prosecutors only want $75,000 for Williams.
