Juan Pablo Galavis, Nikki Ferrell Split: ‘The Bachelor’ Couple ‘Definitely Over,’ Source Says
After a flurry of social media activity Sunday that got The Bachelor fans buzzing, word has it that Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell have indeed split. Neither Juan Pablo or Nikki are sharing more specifics, at least not yet, but it does seem that these two have finally called it quits.
Many fans were doubtful about a happy ending for this The Bachelor couple from the start. That said, they did stay in the relationship for nearly a year. Juan Pablo and Nikki are currently starring in the VH1 show Couples Therapy, but fans have seen that things have been very rocky between these two for a while.
According to People, Nikki Ferrell split from Juan Pablo Galavis recently and it is “definitely over.” In fact, despite Galavis seemingly going back-and-forth on following, unfollowing and again following then finally unfollowing Nikki on social media Sunday and Monday, these two are not on speaking terms right now.
What was the final straw for Nikki and Juan Pablo’s The Bachelor relationship? Sources indicate that Juan Pablo’s supposed’ “disregard” for Nikki’s feelings was one determining factor. In addition, he seemingly refused to tell his daughter Camila that Nikki was something more than a friend, despite the fact they had dated for nearly a year.
It seems there were other issues too, and not just problems with how Galavis handled the relationship. Sources indicate that Juan Pablo tired of Nikki’s “childish antics and temper tantrums.” Many of these issues came up during their time on Couples Therapy, but interviews Galavis did regarding the show experience claimed that the couple had worked through a lot of their issues.
Ultimately, sources indicate, Nikki grew tired of keeping up the facade that their relationship was going well. Reality Steve has been saying this was the situation for some time now, and ultimately most The Bachelor fans weren’t too terribly surprised to hear of Juan Pablo and Nikki’s split. At this point, the former couple has not confirmed the split, though most would say it was pretty clear from their recent social media posts.
While The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman has yet to publicly comment on the split, fans know she’ll be standing behind her bestie from The Bachelor. Obviously things ended on a bad note between Juan Pablo and Andi, but she has stayed close to Nikki. In fact, she recently said she plans to have Ferrell at her wedding, perhaps even as a bridesmaid. Now some sources indicate that Dorfman is already looking to play matchmaker and find Nikki a guy she deems worthy of her friend.
Considering how Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell handled the finale of The Bachelor and the “After the Final Rose” special, it seems doubtful they’ll do much in the way of confirmations or media when it comes to their split. These days, a social media post is sometimes the most powerful way to get the message across, and that would seemingly be the case here as well.
