‘The Real Housewives Of New York City’ Begins Filming Without Bethenny Frankel?
The Real Housewives of New York City’s seventh season is underway. However, Bethenny Frankel doesn’t appear to have rejoined the group quite yet. Despite her recent announcement, claiming she was returning to her roots on the long-running Bravo series, Frankel was noticeably absent from a group shot taken in The Hamptons over the weekend.
“The girls have been filming in The Hamptons for LuAnn’s estate sale, in Arizona, and around NYC. And to really promote the season they’ve been sharing a ton of photos on Instagram and Twitter – which is unusual given that Bravo has always tried to keep things very under wraps in previous seasons,” Reality Tea reported on October 27, along with a photo of Carole Radziwill, LuAnn de Lesseps, Kristen Taekman and Heather Thompson. “Interestingly, none of the ladies are posing with Bethenny (except LuAnn), despite all raving about her return.”
Frankel announced her return to The Real Housewives of New York City on October 20, according to The Inquisitr.
“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on ‘The Real Housewives of New York City.’ I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again,” Frankel wrote on her website. “After my talk show ended, I really had doubts about ever going back to television. I’ve been through a lot personally, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny. That said, I’ve been so fortunate to be able to connect with the audience and inspire them to fulfill their wildest dreams. I learned a lot about myself through that experience. I really need to be able to express myself freely and creatively; I like when no two days are the same, and I don’t thrive when being filtered or edited.”
As The Inquisitr previously reported, Drescher’s dad, George Teichner recently went on the record, claiming Bravo’s decision to give his daughter the boot from The Real Housewives of New York City was a big mistake.
“They should have never let Aviva go,” Teichner explained to Radar Online. “The ratings were at 2 million, then down to 1.3 million. And the only reason the ratings went up recently is because Aviva threw her leg.”
Teichner went on to accuse Cohen of firing Drescher because she was at odds with his close friend, Radziwill. “The reason Aviva is gone is because of Carole Radziwill’s love affair with Andy Cohen,” he joked. “He’s doing nothing but making big mistakes. Obviously, Andy Cohen doesn’t know what he’s doing or he’s just played out. He just doesn’t have any balls. I love Andy Cohen — he’s a great guy. But in relation to the show, he’s lost it.”
The Real Housewives of New York City season seven premieres next year on Bravo.
