‘Batman V Superman’ Teaser Trailer Attached To ‘The Hobbit,’ IMAX Confirms
After much speculation about when we might see a Batman v Superman teaser trailer, IMAX confirmed on Monday — via Twitter — that fans would be able to get a taste of the blockbuster when The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies comes to theaters this December 17.
The tweet came during the early afternoon hours on Monday, and sent the internet ablaze with excitement. Fans who have been following the Zack Snyder production closely were getting desperate that nothing would be coming for at least another year.

We don’t know if this has anything to do with Snyder directly, but it seems the Batman v Superman director has enough footage that he can share a teaser trailer with impatient fans. Besides the constant rumors surrounding the filming of the epic sequel to Man of Steel, we haven’t had much in the form of official news.
Snyder has been kind enough to tweet photos of the three main characters, Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) — which he called the Trinity. But other than that and the crossover game the director has going on with Star Wars Episode VII man, J.J. Abrams, we have not seen any official footage.
Those who were lucky enough to be present in Hall H during the Batman v Superman panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past July were among the select few who have seen a teaser trailer, which shows Batman meeting Superman on a rainy night in Gotham City. At the time, Warner Bros. stated that said trailer was only meant for those attending the panel and would not be released to the public at large.
So what can we expect to see in the Batman v Superman teaser trailer? As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the rumor is that the clip is “Batman heavy,” which would make some sense since we really haven’t had a close look at Affleck in the role and we already know how Henry Cavill looks as Superman.
In recent weeks, it seems Snyder has been filming the last of the Batman v Superman scenes that have to do with Bruce Wayne/Batman. Beware of spoilers ahead. As the Inquisitr also reported earlier Monday, several new set photos have surfaced, indicating a possible Bruce Wayne scene in a cemetery at what appears to be the Wayne family crypt.
Are you excited to finally see a Batman v Superman teaser trailer attached to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies?
Update: IMAX Twitter has not only retracted, but deleted their original tweet about the Batman v Superman teaser trailer with the following explanation. We apologize to our readers for the misleading title.
We were sharing an article, not confirming a rumor. We’ve removed the tweet to avoid any further confusion. Our apologies.
