JK Rowling To Publish New ‘Harry Potter’ Story On Halloween
J.K Rowling has some big news for Harry Potter fans! You may want to set down your mugs of butterbeer for this one. Are you ready? Rowling announced that she will be publishing a brand-new story on her Pottermore website just in time for Halloween!
Yes, cheer away! Order another round of butterbeer for the pub, but before you get too excited, you need to know that this new story won’t be focusing on the beloved Harry Potter, nor on his pals Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger.
According to Us Weekly, Rowling shared the announcement on her Pottermore website. The update said that while the story will not be focusing on the famous trio, it will focus on one of Potter’s biggest enemies, Dolores Umbridge.
“Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry,” the update read. “The new exclusive J.K. Rowling content provides a rich, 1,700-word back story about Umbridge’s life filled with many new details, as well as Rowling’s revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character.”
Earlier this month, J.K. Rowling took to her twitter account to post some mysterious messages that many believed hinted to some new Harry Potter materials. According to The Inquisitr, Rowling made it clear that she was excited to tease something, but she wasn’t going to make it easy for fans. It took a few tweets and a few hours, but before long, news broke that the mystery tweets were teasing the Harry Potter spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
According to The Inquisitr, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a film trilogy that J.K. Rowling is writing for Warner Bros. Halloween seems like the perfect time of year to tease about the magical world of Harry Potter, and while many are still looking forward to some story involving the famous trio of friends, many seem just as excited for this new look into Dolores Umbridge.
