Renee Zellweger’s Changed Appearance Caused By Cosmetic Surgery, Say ‘The Doctors’ [Update]
Renee Zellweger became famous for her innocent face, soft voice and acting ability in films such as Jerry Maguire. But now, after appearing in public for the first time with what some say looks like plastic surgery, Zellweger is finding herself overwhelmed with a different kind of fame. Talk shows, tabloids and Twitter exploded with speculation over whether Renee had procedures such as a brow lift. Medical talk show The Doctors addressed the question on Friday.
Emphasizing that he is not Zellweger’s plastic surgeon, Dr. Drew Ordon pointed to a photo and said that he detected an incision line in her forehead. Based on that discovery and her altered upper face, Dr. Ordon said that Renee underwent a brow lift.
“Clearly they have brought things up,” said the plastic surgeon, pointing to the differences between Zellweger’s older photos and current images.
In addition to the brow lift, Dr. Ordon speculated that Renee also underwent upper eyelid surgery. He noted the changes in her cheeks and emphasized that while she looks great, she also had volume added to counter the effects of aging.
Wendy Williams conducted a hot topic poll and posted what she called “Renee’s Shocking Look” on Instagram.
“What do you think about Renée Zellweger’s dramatic new look?” asked Wendy.
Viewers responded to her poll with generally negative comments.
“I don’t know what Renee had done but i didn’t care for her look before and this look is by far WORSE!”
However, Williams focused more on Zellweger’s refusal to admit or deny that she had cosmetic surgery done, contending that she felt the actress had undergone surgery and was refusing to admit it. Wendy asked Susan Lucci, who was visiting her show, to comment. Watch what she said below.

And Wendy wasn’t the only talk show host to tackle Zellweger’s altered face.
Another female-oriented discussion show, headed by Julie Chen and Sharon Osbourne, is The Talk. And those women also talked about Renee, speculating about her surgery, as seen below.

The media and social media storm began after Renee appeared at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills. Zellweger subsequently talked with People magazine about the plastic surgery rumors.
“I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows. My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy.
“For a long time I wasn’t doing such a good job with that. I took on a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn’t allow for taking care of myself. Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad choices about how to conceal the exhaustion. I was aware of the chaos and finally chose different things.”
Rather than specify the “different things,” Renee Zellweger used humor to respond to additional questions.
“People don’t know me [as] healthy for a while,” said the 45-year-old actress. “Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I’m happy.”
One actress who has been candid about deciding to have plastic surgery is Jane Fonda. As the Inquisitr reported, at 76, the actress is still going strong and open about every aspect of her body.
What do you think? Should actresses answer questions about plastic surgery? Or has the ongoing commentary about Renee Zellweger gone too far?
