WWE: Brock Lesnar UFC Return Possible? Dana White Wants To See Him Fight

Brock Lesnar’s UFC return has long been a subject of speculation, and even UFC president Dana White wants to see what the Beast Incarnate could do now that he’s recovered from his bout of Diverticulitis.

In a related report by The Inquisitr , retired UFC fighter Shane Carwin says he’d love to be on the match card for Brock Lesnar’s UFC return but he also doubts that the Beast could keep up with newer MMA fighters, saying, “The guys these days are too far ahead. You can’t be one-dimensional. This isn’t the early ’90s.”

In 2009, Brock faced the biggest fight in his life with a case of Diverticulitis, a stomach disease. His UFC winning streak started to suffer after the illness and he suffered a flare up that caused him to cancel a match in 2011. After having surgery to remove a foot length of his colon, Lesnar was TKO’d in under three minutes and then promptly announced his retirement. Since then he’s been maintaining a limited schedule with the WWE.

Now that Brock Lesnar is recovered, Dana White would like to see the Beast compete again.

“It’s pretty amazing what he did and accomplished here while having diverticulitis,” White said. “It would be interesting to see a 100-percent healthy Brock Lesnar compete.”

If you look at Brock Lesnar’s career, you’ll see he goes wherever the money leads him. After a contract dispute with the WWE management, he attempted a football career only to try his hand at New Japan Pro Wrestling and the UFC. While some fans may not like how Lesnar treats wrestling as only a clock in/clock out day job, at heart he’s really just a South Dakota farmer who also happens to be good in a fight.

Returning to the UFC would only be in Lesnar’s interest if the payout is great enough or if it does not intrude too much on his personal space. According to Jim Ross, this should have the WWE management trying to renew his contract past WrestleMania 31 .

“Creatively from a strategic standpoint, WWE will need to find out sooner rather than later if Brock is interested in re-signing or not,” Ross told Fox Sports . “It looks to me like he’s gotten back on track. He looks phenomenal strength-wise. He’s just scary looking. He’s more scary looking than he was before he left. I see no reason he couldn’t have the potential to return to the UFC and sell pay-per-views.”

But a previous report by The Inquisitr says the WWE is in fact renegotiating Brock Lesnar’s contract, and Vince McMahon and Triple H want “to add as many dates as possible so that Lesnar couldn’t leave WWE any time soon to join the UFC again.” While Dana White may want to see the Beats back in the Octagan, it seems unlikely to happen until 2017 at the earliest. White also admitted that he has been talking to the WWE Superstar, yet Brock Lesnar’s UFC return has not come up.

“I have a great relationship with Brock, we talk all the time,” White told UFC.com . “I don’t know (if Lesnar wants to return), we’ll see. If he wants to fight, he knows my number.”

Then again, Brock Lesnar may say enough is enough to both the WWE and UFC and just move on up to Canada like he’s long said he would.
