Jennifer Lawrence Buys Jessica Simpson’s Old Mansion In Beverly Hills, 90210
Jennifer Lawrence just picked up a new mansion in the famous 90210 zip code of Beverly Hills, a pad once owned by fellow celebrity Jessica Simpson.
Lawrence closed on the $8.225 million home this week, and will be moving into quite an upscale home. The French-style, 5,500-square-foot home was built in 1991 and comes with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The front of the home has a stone and floral courtyard and a koi pond, while the back yard sports a swimming pool.
Jessica Simpson is likely cringing a bit at the price — or possibly hiring a new real estate agent. The actress and singer had originally listed the home last year for $8 million but ended up taking $6.4 million from Syndey Holland, the girlfriend of billionaire Sumner Redstone. It’s not clear what work Holland may have put into the home or what she did to flip it for nearly $2 million more than Jessica Simpson was able to get.
Jennifer Lawrence may be using the home to spend more time with boyfriend Chris Martin. She and the Coldplay frontman have been linked together for several weeks, and is reportedly even changing her style for him.
“She really wants to look cool as the girlfriend of a rock God and has splashed out on a whole range of new edgy T-shirts and jeans so she looks the part backstage when Chris is performing,” a source told OK! Magazine. “She’s totally into the whole scene and loving her new life as the leading lady of a music legend. She’s trying to lose her gawky image and keep her designer clothing for red carpet appearances.”
With her new mansion purchase, Jennifer Lawrence has actually completed a bit of celebrity musical chairs. After Jessica Simpson moved out of the Beverly Hills estate, she moved into an $11 million dollar Hidden Hills mansion that she bought from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
