Sadie Robertson Talks Virginity Struggles, ‘DWTS’ Star Says She Might Not Marry Blake Coward
Sadie Robertson might love boyfriend Blake Coward now but the Duck Dynasty star isn’t positive that he’s “the one” she’s saving herself for.
The Dancing with the Stars competitor recently talked to US Weekly about her decision to remain a virgin until she’s married. According to The Epoch Times, 17-year-old Sadie Robertson revealed that staying chaste hasn’t been easy.
“People are like, ‘It must be easy for you because you’re Christian.’ That doesn’t make it any easier for me.”
Sadie also revealed that she won’t date a guy who doesn’t share her thoughts on remaining a virgin until marriage.
“I don’t really date guys who don’t feel the same way. It’s going to be way harder if we went into a relationship having different opinions about that.”
Robertson said that her current boyfriend feels the same way she does about sex, and he also attends the “same kind” of church as Sadie and her family. She and Blake Coward might have a lot in common but the Duck Dynasty star isn’t ready to say that Blake is the man she’s going to marry someday.
“You never know who you’re going to end up with. Who knows if my boyfriend will be my husband? I’ve always thought that I would marry young, but it just depends on if I have the right guy with me.”
Sadie Robertson’s words might hurt Blake Coward a bit if he happens to read them, but he shouldn’t feel too discouraged. Sadie has been spending time with a lot of cute, talented guys on Dancing with the Stars, but she let Coward know that he’s her favorite dance partner by sharing the Instagram snap below.
Sadie shared a second photo that appears to from a Fourth of July celebration.
Perhaps the photos and their accompanying sweet messages will make Blake feel better about Sadie’s obvious crush on Dancing with the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy — she says Val is intimidating, but the dancer knows that Robertson just thinks that he’s hot.
Sadie Robertson’s Christian beliefs don’t just dictate who she dates — they also have an effect on her Dancing with the Stars performances. According to The Gospel Herald, the Duck Dynasty star was applauded for toning down her sexy rumba routine for last week’s show. Sadie consulted with her mother and grandmother while rehearsing her routine, and both women told Sadie that some of her moves were inappropriate. Robertson and partner Mark Ballas then tweaked the dance to fit her vision of what it should be.
“I hope this week, it doesn’t come off as sexy, but it comes off as sweet.”
Sadie and Mark scored a 35 out of 40 for the stripped-down routine, and their rumba became the most-watched dance of the week on YouTube with over 56,000 views. Even though their rumba wasn’t as sexy as the dance usually is, it was still pretty romantic.
Perhaps Sadie has been posting more photos of her boyfriend because she’s afraid that he’ll get jealous of her closeness with her dance partner. There’s been speculation that Janel Parrish and her ex-boyfriend, Payson Lewis, ended things because of her close relationship with Dancing with the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy. It’s possible that Sadie is afraid that the same thing will happen to her and Blake Coward.
