Justin Bieber has been voted the Best Canadian Act at the 2014 MTV EMA.
The “Boyfriend” singer beat out Drake, Arcade Fire, Avril Lavigne and Kiesza to secure the nod.
But that was just the first round.
From here, Justin goes head to head with girl band Fifth Harmony. The winner between the two will become the nominee for North America in the Worldwide Act slot, the winner of which will be revealed at the 2014 MTV EMA awards in Glasgow, Scotland on November 9.

Meanwhile, in other Bieber news, singer-songwriter and vocal producer Jason Boyd — a.k.a “Poo Bear,” who signed with the Biebs around January this year — has released a new song featuring Young Money rapper Tyga.
“Work For It,” a slinky, slow jam, showcases Bear’s assured voice, sexual lyrics and an old-school R&B flavor.
