Zach Galifianakis Roasts Brad Pitt And Steals His Gum In ‘Between Two Ferns’ Interview

Zach Galifianakis does not pull any punches in his Between Two Ferns interview with actor Brad Pitt!

From the very beginning, the insults start when Zach complains about having to go back to interviewing “dumb actors” after having interviewed President Barack Obama on this popular Funny or Die web series.

Question after question, Zach Galifianakis kept the punchlines coming. Unlike President Obama, Brad Pitt was not very defensive at all. He just sat there and took the beating the best way that he could — quietly.

Then again, if you were asked some of the same questions that Zach Galifianakis asked Brad Pitt in this Between Two Ferns video, chances are that you would have been speechless, too.

And that was definitely not where the Angelina Jolie jokes stopped. Zach Galifianakis delivered a knockout punch of subtle insults when he asked about the moment Brad Pitt met Angelina Jolie for the first time.

“Tell me what it was like the first time that you laid eyes on Angelina. Was it like one of those classic love stories – like when Ross first saw Rachel? You know that show Friends? Have you seen that?”

Zach then added a little insult to the injury by playing a quick snippet of the Friends theme song.

NOTE: Just in case you missed why that part was so funny, “Rachel” was played by actress Jennifer Aniston. Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston…until he started filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie – and the rest is history.

That was just the tip of the iceberg! After talking about his own charity work with the organization, “Doctors without Diplomas,” Zach invited Brad Pitt to talk about his own charity work. Less than ten seconds later, Zach said, “Hold on a second. I have to liven this up.” He then played the theme song of Louis C.K’s hit TV series and invited Louis C.K. on stage to perform some stand-up comedy. Zach Galifianakis also got the father of six a tall bong as a gift and called it a “bassoon.” Brad Pitt rejected the gift quickly by responding, “You know I’m a dad now? We don’t ‘bassoon’ in my house anymore.”
