Marvel was planning to release the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer next week, but it’s like the tech activist nerds say: information wants to be free. The trailer has popped up on the internet a week ahead of its scheduled release.

Some days just turn out great, and this is one of them. Avengers fans can get an early fix of next summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron , since some blessed soul saw fit to upload the trailer to the internets.

The trailer was, as Inquisitr pointed out before , set to release next Tuesday during Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ‘s next episode, but good things come to those who, aw screw it, here we go! [ Update #2: Marvel has officially released the trailer for Age of Ultron, so now we’ve got a much better copy to gaze at.]

As you can see, Age of Ultron is shaping up to be just the sort of massive sequel that Marvel needs to follow up the smash hit Avengers , which is one of the highest grossing movies of all time. As we heard in previous reports, there’s that creepy “No Strings on Me” rendition throughout the trailer, an allusion to the fact that the villainous Ultron has cut the ties that connected him to the humans he was intended to serve.

We also get our first glimpses of the newest additions to the Avengers squad in action. There’s a quick shot of Quicksilver, in a scene that we’re sure Marvel has pulled out all the stops for in order to top Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past version of the character. We also get a look at the Scarlet Witch, though we only catch a glimpse of her powers.

The trailer that’s hit the internet is quite a bit different from what was said to be on the way, and it may be that it is the full theatrical trailer instead of the one that will show up on next week’s S.H.I.E.L.D.

In any case, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch look terrific, and we can’t wait to see just what goes down to make Iron Man pull out that Hulkbuster armor. Big and impressive as Tony Stark’s new toy is, though, it doesn’t look like it’s handling the Hulk too well.

Also, just what is it that winds up breaking Captain America’s shield?

Most of all, Ultron just looks terrific and menacing, and the shot of multiple Ultrons launching into action makes it look like this villain is going to give Marvel’s Avengers everything they can handle and more when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters this coming summer.

Update: Marvel has responded to the news of the leak with a single tweet.

Sounds about right. We’d say heads are going to roll over this, but the thing about Hydra is if you cut off one head, three more spring up in its place.
