The old saying “once a cheater, always a cheater” just may be true — at least when it comes to Dean McDermott.
Recently, Tori Spelling read a letter that Dean had written to his ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace. And yes, it was a love letter, full of romantic phrases and terms that Tori Spelling is only too familiar with, having heard them said by Dean herself.
The letter is nearly a decade-old, which may seem like ancient history, but it actually coincides with exact time that McDermott was officially leaving his wife in order to be with Tori Spelling — and Tori is not happy.
A source told In Touch magazine that reading the letter has been very hard on Tori. “It makes Tori question everything again,” the source said. “Over the last year, they’ve worked hard to put what he did to her behind them and rebuild trust.”
The source added, “Reading the letter made Tori see Dean for who he really is: A cheater. He claims he loves her now, but what’s to stop him from going out and having another affair?”
It’s almost like Tori should have wondered that when she started a relationship with McDermott, who was married to Eustace at the time.
In the letter, McDermott refers to Mary Jo as the love of his life, that she is the reason he is the man he is today. That statement, says the source, has led to Tori to conclude that “the man she married is a fake.”
“Dean professes his love to Mary Jo the same way he has to Tori throughout their eight-year marriage,” the insider told the magazine. “How do you think that makes her feel?”
Tori could always ask Dean McDermott’s ex-wife how something like that would feel, considering at one time she was the “other woman.” But Tori dismisses that uncomfortable tidbit, saying that, although she felt bad for Mary Jo Eustace, she never saw herself as breaking up the marriage between Eustace and McDermott. “That was his decision,” she said, adding, “I knew he was married and I was thinking this was wrong but we fell in love — there was that connection, it was instant.”
One insider revealed to In Touch that Tori shook a she read the note, finally concluding that “Dean is not the devoted husband she believed him to be.”
So how did Tori Spelling get hold of this incriminating love letter to her husband’s ex-wife?
Well, she sort of brought that one on herself.
As Radar Online reported, Eustace herself showed Tori the note after Tori all but begged her to appear on the show “to spice things up for the new season.”
Sounds like Tori may have gotten a little more spice than she bargained for!
