Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Divorce Drama Continues Over Portia’s Desire For Kids

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi may have tried to put divorce rumors to rest with a joint appearance on Ellen’s talk show, but experts say the tension over Portia’s desire to have kids is still looming between the couple.

The relationship troubles between Ellen and Portia has been well documented over the last several months. Reports have claimed that the couple was at the edge of divorce over Ellen’s controlling ways and alleged infidelity, which pushed Portia back into drinking and led to a secret rehab trip in May.

One of the biggest arguments between the couple came from Portia’s desire to have kids, with Ellen steadfast against having children. Earlier this month, the couple tried to put a rest to rumors about troubles, with Portia joining Ellen on her talk show to joke about the reports and claim that neither were interested in adding children to the family.

But there still could be trouble for Ellen and Portia. CelebDirtyLaundry reports that tension still exists, citing a body language expert who said Portia is clearly unhappy.

“An uncomfortable, awkward Portia looked like she wanted to be anywhere else,” the expert claimed. “The body doesn’t lie. It’s very contrived and there is a lot of emotional tension between the two. What seemed clear to me from her body language was that Ellen did not want to have a baby … and she expected Portia to feel the same way.”

Others close to Ellen and Portia claim otherwise. Friends of the couple say they have worked their way through their marital woes and are on much more solid footing now than a few months ago.

“Ellen says that she and Portia are doing so much better,” a source told RadarOnline.com.

“Towards the end of last season [of Ellen’s talk show] everything was really taking a toll on her,” the insider added. “While Portia was in treatment and everyone was predicting that they were getting a divorce, it was really hard. But thankfully, all of that has passed.”

Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have continually denied the divorce rumors, saying they are quite happy together.
