Blake Griffin was recently accused of choking and slapping a man inside of a Las Vegas nightclub last weekend, according to TMZ Sports .
39-year old Daniel was partying at Tao nightclub during the early morning hours on Sunday. The alleged attack from Blake Griffin occurred shortly after Daniel took a picture of the crowd with his cell phone.
According to a statement given to Tao security by Daniel, Blake Griffin was also at Tao nightclub that night partying with several of his teammates from the Los Angeles Clippers . Daniel stated that Blake Griffin was irritated by the flash from the camera, approached Daniel and “grabbed [his] phone with one hand.”
Since his credit card and identification were both attached to the cell phone, Daniel refused to let go of it. The report states that Blake Griffin then grabbed his neck and began to squeeze it, forcefully demanding that Daniel let go of the phone “or else.”
Daniel eventually did give the phone up and Blake Griffin reportedly walked away. However, when Daniel tried to ask Blake to return his phone, the 25-year old athlete grabbed and squeezed his neck again.
Once Tao security showed up at the scene of this alleged attack, Daniel claims that Blake Griffin said, “Get him the f**k out of this club.”
Daniel stated that Blake Griffin then “slapped me in the right side of my face.”
Shortly after leaving the nightclub, Daniel went to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and filed a battery report and was questioned by Las Vegas police about the incident the following day.
Back in February, there were quite a few rumors circulating online which claimed that Blake Griffin slapped Justin Bieber inside of a Hollywood Starbucks. However, those rumors originated from a satirical sports website and were proven false.
What do you think about these allegations? Did Blake Griffin really attack a man inside of a club for simply taking a picture and refusing to give up his cell phone?
