Melanie Griffith, Dakota Johnson Step Out: Will Melanie See ’50 Shades’?

Melanie Griffith has not been bashful about showing off her body in recent weeks. The actress has been seen out in Los Angeles quite a bit lately, and she has been wearing skimpier clothing that women half her age would normally wear. Daily Mail shared new photos of Melanie Griffith stepping out in Los Angeles, and the site made mention of her bra being visible. On Sunday, Griffith stepped out with daughter Dakota Johnson, and she was covered up completely. Melanie and Dakota arrived together, according to Us Weekly.

Dakota Johnson will soon be seen on the big screen in Fifty Shades of Grey. Melanie did reveal in a recent interview that her daughter has banned Melanie and her father, actor Don Johnson, from seeing the film once it is released to theaters next February. Griffith has no plans to see the film after her daughter’s request, but Melanie did visit the set during the production of the racy film. However, she did not visit during the filming of any of the racier moments of the movie.

Griffith shared the following about that visit and her daughter’s request.

“[Dakota] was like, ‘You guys cannot come. There’s no way.’ So we’re not going. I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain — I did go in there and check it out.”

Melanie originally planned to see the film, but Don Johnson never intended to see his daughter in the sexy film at all. Inquisitr previously reported that Fifty Shades of Grey has caused some problems between Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. Dakota’s parents see Fifty Shades of Grey very differently.

“Melanie is bitterly upset that she is the only one standing alongside her daughter. She’s told both Don and Tippi that Dakota really can’t look at roles and wonder what her dad and grandma are going to think.”

Griffith has shown Dakota her support by speaking out about her performance. Melanie called Dakota “amazing” for taking on the role. With Melanie and Don both established in Hollywood, it is not all that surprising that Dakota has followed in their footsteps.

Griffith was last seen on Hawaii Five-0 on CBS. She played the role of Danny’s mother for a number of episodes last season. Melanie does have another project lined up. She will take part in The 24 Hours Plays on Broadway next month. She is one of several actors taking part in the project, according to The Kansas City Star.
