Elongated Skull Found On Mars, Real Or Trickery Of Light? [Video]

Mars has been a mystery to humankind since its discovery as a planet. As our closest neighbor in the solar system, the possibility of life on the red planet has conjured tales of aliens, space travel, and even the questioning of human kind’s origins. A recent photograph taken by the Mars Rover might reveal a clue to the planet’s past, or possibly a simple trickery of light, as an elongated humanoid skull seems to have been captured.

According to the International Business Times, a YouTuber by the name of “Martian Archelogist” noticed the elongated human skull on mars while analyzing a photograph. He manipulated the image by applying various filters to the grainy picture and uploaded a Youtube video to share his finding with the world. Martian Archelogist is not the first person to see faces on the Mars landscape, although he is the most recent. He cannot confirm that the elongated skull on Mars is real, but the evidence he provides does portray something that looks humanoid.

Skeptics have debated the elongated skull is nothing more than a trickery of light and that a real skull could not survive the harsh environment upon the Martian landscape. However, Scott C. Waring, of UFO Daily, feels that a martian skull could have been replaced by minerals over the years, much like fossilized shark teeth on earth. NASA has not commented specifically on the elongated skull image, writing it off as merely a rock. However, NASA administrator Charles Bolden made a public statement at around the same time that Martian Achelogist shared the image, according to the Examiner.

“People always ask the question ‘Why Mars?’ Several reasons: One, Mars is very Earth-like, or least used to be Earth-like. It is a planet, a sister planet to Earth. It is the most likely planet in our solar system, um, that had life at one time… may have life now, and we feel can definitely sustain life.”

Whether or not the elongated martian skull is real, beliefs among the population seem to vary as to what the object is. According to former NASA employee Richard Hoover, NASA will go to great lengths to cover up Martian life.
