Kate Middleton Is Back: Duchess Kate Makes First Royal Appearance, Debuts Baby Bump
Kate Middleton has officially returned to her royal duties! The Duchess of Cambridge is just about three months along in her second pregnancy and is finally feeling well enough to get dolled up and step outside. According to Us Weekly, Kate was joined by her husband Prince William at London’s Royal Garden Hotel on Tuesday. The Duke and Duchess were on hand to greet The President of the Republic of Singapore and his wife.

Of course Kate looked lovely, even if she did look a bit tired. She wore an Alexander McQueen coat in a dusty blue with a matching fascinator by Jane Taylor. Beneath the coat, you could just start to see the makings of Kate’s second baby bump. Kate Middleton was all smiles and really seemed like she was feeling better. After being housebound for the past three months due to an extreme pregnancy sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum, it must have been nice for the Duchess to get back to normal and not feel so ill. She actually joked around with the president, telling him that she had been “looking forward to getting out of the house.”

According to The Daily Beast, Kate rode in an antique carriage, waving to nearby common folk and photographers. She left the gathering in The Scottish State Coach, which brought her back to Buckingham Palace before lunch. From there, Duchess Kate “went home,” but it’s unclear if “home” refers to Kensington Palace or Bucklebury, where she’s been staying with her mum and dad over the past few weeks.

According to the Inquisitr, Kate and William were spotted leaving a medical clinic last Wednesday. The clinic is where Kate’s doctor Dr. Alan Farthing works, and it is believed that the Duchess may have had her 12 week check-up that day. On Monday, the palace announced that Kate and William would be welcoming their second child sometime in April, just in time for their four year wedding anniversary. It is unknown if the royal couple know the sex of their baby, but they have not shared that information with the world just yet.
If Kate was giving any sort of clue by the color of her outfit this morning, you’d have to assume it’s a boy. However, Kate really favors the color blue in general.
