Pregnant Blake Lively Reunites With ‘Sisterhood’ Cast [Photos]
Blake Lively hadn’t been photographed out and about for some time, until she announced that she was pregnant with her first child. Now that she let the cat out of the bag that she’s expecting her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds, Lively has made several public appearances. Aside from her red carpet appearance at the Golden Heart Awards in New York City, Lively made time for her Sisterhood girls.
The one appearance that seems to be stirring up excitement along with rumors is photos that have emerged of Lively with the rest of her Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants cast. The cast, including Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn, reunited to support fellow Sisterhood cast member America Ferrara in the show Lips Together, Teeth Apart.
In a message on Instagram, Amber Tamblyn captioned the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants reunion.
“Go America! Supporting our girl in her play, Lips Together, Teeth Apart. #Sisterhood.”
This is the second time the cast has reunited in several weeks. The first was back in September for a brunch day. Amber Tamblyn Instagrammed for the fans, captioning the adorable selfie with, “#sISTERHOOD @Preserve_US @AmericaFerrera.” At the time, Lively’s pregnancy was still unknown, so the girls strategically posed with Blake in the back of the photo.
Preserve_US is Lively’s lifestyle website. These days, celebrities are taking their brands into their own hands with the use of social media. Some celebrities like Lively have expanded that brand to anchor a new business venture, which has caused controversy and attention since Gwyneth Paltrow extended her own healthy lifestyle with her site Goop.
To announce her pregnancy, Lively decided to launch exclusive professional photographs taken by brother Eric Lively on her site. Not only did this bring massive traffic to her site, but it also promoted her image as a mommy-to-be by skipping the middle man.
After the news of the pregnancy broke, Tamblyn wished her co-star well with another post on Instagram.
“Finally I can share my little sister’s good news! Congratulations my Blakey. What a tremendous mama you are going to be. @BlakeLively @Preserve_US”
This is the first child for Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, who she wed in a private ceremony in September 2011.
As for her Sisterhood cast members, America told E! Online that she’s down for a third Sister of the Traveling Pants film.
“I think it would be amazing if there was [another one]! All four of us are very connected to one another. We all have been friends for a decade now. We all went through our twenties together. All my Sisterhood girls are very close to me.”
