‘RHONY’ Star Aviva Drescher Married Husband Reid For His Money

The Real Housewives of New York star Aviva Drescher may have showcased her happy marriage on the show, but after being fired from the hit-Bravo show, she signed on to go on Marriage Boot Camp. At first, viewers thought that she was just trying to extend her time in the spotlight, as many celebrity couples have gone on to do other reality shows after leaving a highly popular show. Other examples include Sean Lowe’s stint on Dancing with the Stars and Juan Pablo Galavis’ decision to do Couples Therapy.

But it sounds like Aviva Drescher may actually have some issues in her marriage. On The Real Housewives of New York, she revealed that she does have an education in law and did indeed go to law school. And yet, after marrying Reid, she became a stay-at-home mother. She recently added “author” to her resume.

According to a new Celebeat report, The Real Housewives of New York star Aviva Drescher took a lie detector as part of the show on Marriage Boot Camp, and she was caught lying. She was asked if she married Reid for money and when she said “no,” it was determined that her answer was indeed a lie.

“Aviva was asked during her lie detector test if she married her husband, Reid, for money,” an insider has revealed, adding, “Her answer was ‘No’ — and she failed that question!”

In addition, Aviva Drescher’s ex-husband, Harry Dubin, also came up. It is no secret that Drescher and Dubin divorced in 2005 and Harry has been interested in almost every woman on the show since then. Since Harry is such a desirable man for some of the housewives, Aviva was asked about Harry.

“They asked if she would rather be working on her first marriage than her marriage to Reid. Her answer was ‘No,’ but she failed that, too!” the source states.

The couple supposedly went on Marriage Boot Camp, because Reid felt that Aviva had become obsessed with the spotlight after appearing on The Real Housewives of New York. And perhaps Aviva will do anything to get back on the show. According to The Inquisitr, Aviva’s father believes that Bravo made a mistake when they fired her.

But Drescher’s time in boot camp apparently didn’t pan out as expected. Her talent manager has threatened a lawsuit because she wasn’t paid for getting Aviva on the show. Of course, Drescher has another side of the story, and this public lawsuit could be another method for Aviva Drescher to stay in the spotlight.
