Selena Gomez Teases Wild Wet Hair Photo Shoot, Reveals New Music ‘Next Month’

Selena Gomez’s previously reported new music drops “next month,” as she announced in her Instagram bio, which she changed Sunday before teasing a mystery photo shoot.

In a word, the 22-year-old “Come & Get It” songstress looks glorious.

Intriguing and sexy without the porn-lite stuff many of her contemporaries go in for, Selena is riding a week of raised profile from promoting her new film Rudderless.

At the recent Los Angeles premiere of the William H. Macy-directed redemptive drama, the starlet told Us Weekly she is auditioning. But, for new music? It’s been radio silence since “Slow Down” last summer.

That’s all set to change, E! News reports, and the three black and white photos Selena just unveiled indicates a bolder La Gomez is ready to break free.

To E! Selena revealed, “At the beginning of the year, I posted a picture for a secret project and that time is coming. I’m so excited. Honestly, it’s good. It’s music-related and I’m very, very excited. It will be very, very soon.”

The Latina starlet gave no clue as to what the photo shoot is for, but speculation is free.

Was it for a magazine? A brand, new music video? Cover art for one of the two new songs expected on her reportedly November 24-dropping “Greatest Hits” album?

What is known about the photo shoot, is the team that helped make the magic happen.

Photographer Aris Jerome, stylists Chloe and Marie-Lou Bartoli and the hair salon Nine Zero One were all on hand.

Our favorite shot is the first Selena posted. A side profile with an unreadable expression, glittery make-up and wet, wavy hair.

In the clothes department, all that’s seen in this snap is the sophisticated, black and white striped blazer that suggests nothing lies underneath.

In the second shot, it becomes clear the actress-singer is wearing something after all.

With a vaguely sad look on her face, Selena gazes straight into the camera while wearing a cleavage-revealing, black swimsuit.

“Uno mas,” is the simple caption, meaning “one more.”

It’s beautiful.

Then, the wild.

Hair in flight, fanned behind her, the girl Justin Bieber reportedly let slip away, is all woman and yet still retains an innocence.

As Jelena watchers know, Selena unfollowed Justin on Instagram one day after he took pal model Kendall Jenner to lunch while all three were at Paris Fashion Week recently.

While on The Talk to promote Rudderless, Selena shared relationship advice — business and personal — recently given to her by close friend, Taylor Swift.

“I was sitting by the fire and I was talking about relationships and business in my life.”

Gomez went on, “And you know, she [Taylor] just kinda looked at me. And she supports me, she never judges me for anything.”

“She’s like, ‘Well, Selena, if you’re the smartest person in the room, I think you’re going to be in the wrong room.'”

The actress-singer explains,

“She thinks I should constantly surround myself — and I agree with her — with people who are going to make me better,” Gomez continued, “that are going to challenge me, motivate me, and it just stuck with me, so I kind of constantly repeat that to myself now. Yeah, I just wanna surround myself with those kind of people.”

So, new music, a new photo shoot, that “secret project” and — it seems — a new outlook are Selena Gomez’s present and future.

That sound? Anticipation.
