Justin Bieber Jumps On Remix Of Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About That Bass’ — Thoughts?
Justin Bieber fans already got a taste of the heartthrob singing on mega-hit “All About That Bass” in a video he previously posted (then deleted) of a hike with on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
As it turns out, the Biebs was giving fans a tease of his turn on producer pal Maejor’s Ali’s hip-hop/electro remix of Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” which dropped Tuesday. Ali also produced the original song and a solo effort on the remix in August.
Trainor has straddled the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for over five weeks and is still ruling. During that time it went viral and became a slightly tedious talking point for body conscious debates.
So what do Justin Bieber and Ali bring to the remix?
How about some serious sub-bass, a stomping blend of EDM and Trap elements, and the Biebs throwing his individual twist on a now familiar hook?
“I’m all about that bass, no treble/We gonna take it to a whole ‘nother level,” the 20-year-old sings for the clubs.
Then. when Maejor brings in galvanizing synths, Bieber chimes, “We know that sh*t ain’t real/We know it’s Photoshopped!” calling out women who enhance their assets digitally.
Detroit-hailing Maejor Ali boasts production work on artists, including Iggy Azalea, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, as well as stepping into the role as lead artist on the Bieber/Juicy J assisted “Lolly” last year.
And Ali is more than happy for his buddy Justin to share some of the “All About That Bass” spotlight, which has served Trainor so well.
“I’m excited to bring a hood yet house twist to such a catchy song,” says the producer.
Continuing, Maejor adds, “I first put this song out as a production remix on my own. Not soon after it went out Meghan heard it, then Justin heard it, and shortly after they asked me to pull my version down so that the collaboration could happen. And that’s the dopest part.”
Meanwhile, Bieber is “back to it,” according to a selfie taken in a recording studio over the weekend.
After a break of 10 months after his 15 month Believe tour, various over-reported exploits, and an apparent split with Gomez, the Canadian is back on the grind.
And just in case fans didn’t get the message, yesterday he tweeted his manager, Scooter Braun, writing:
It’s been fun but time for this break to be over. @scooterbraun time to go back to work

Justin is reportedly just days away from releasing the first single from his duets album with Australian idol Cody Simpson, which the artists and Braun have been teasing since June. That album is slated to drop this November.
The Biebs’ solo album is expected in 2015.
Until all of that, the remix of “All About That Bass” is here, and that very funny tease from months ago.
