Boy Busts ‘Dirty Dancing’ Moves Creating A Facebook Frenzy! Charlie Vs. Swayze [Video]
Dirty Dancing will never be the same after watching Charlie get his groove on, giving Patrick Swayze a run for his money. This 8-year-old boy has learned every nuance down to the perfect head tossing, caboose wiggling, strutting across the stage moves like no other.
Lainie Kristina, Charlie’s mother, told BuzzFeed that Dirty Dancing is one of her all time favorite movies. A historic theater in Knoxville, Tennessee just happened to be showing it this past August, and Lainie’s husband took her to see it.
When Charlie found out that his parents had seen a movie about dancing, he insisted on watching it the following day. As Charlie watched Dirty Dancing, he began learning the moves to that ever famous last dance scene between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray to the song, “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life,” according to Entertainment Tonight.
“He loves to dance and cannot sit when he is watching a music video or anything with dancing in it. He immediately gets up and starts copying all of the moves.”
Charlie has actually been dancing since he was three years old, when Michael Jackson died. Lainie reveals that it was at that time Charlie began watching Michael Jackson videos and learning his dance moves.
“Thriller“ was one of his favorites. In fact, Lainie says she video recorded Charlie’s “Thriller” performance at the age of four and uploaded it onto YouTube for all the family to see. BuzzFeed reports the title of the video is named “Charlie is the Thriller.”
“He hasn’t stopped performing since then.”
Lucky for us!
Lainie decided to post Charlie’s Dirty Dancing video to Facebook and was shocked when it hit three million views in one week, as reported by Hello Giggles.
While watching this adorable and talented young boy dancing his heart out, one could only imagine that Charlie had to have watched Dirty Dancing dozens of times to be able to be so perfectly in sync with Swayze. But that is not what Lainie told BuzzFeed.
“He has probably watched it only 10-12 times.”
Charlie may very well be our next MJ, Patrick Swayze, or Justin Timberlake. Let’s keep our eyes on Charlie!
