Michelle Obama Says Kardashian TV Shows Can Teach Important Lessons
Earlier in the week President Obama said he didn’t want trash TV to be watched by his daughters Sasha and Malia, specifically the likes of The Kardashians and now first lady Michelle Obama has showed her support for the Kardashian sisters.
Speaking with The Stir Mrs. Obama said:
“Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians … when they watch that stuff he doesn’t like that as much. But I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it — and I’m more concerned with how they take it in — what did you learn when you watched that? And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I’m like, okay. So, it requires a lot — it is the reality of where they are.”
Michelle says Barack doesn’t actually stop his girls from watching the show but prefers when they watch more educational programming and non-reality TV based shows.
In the meantime it’s funny to picture the President of the United States sitting around in the White House with his wife discussing Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian.
Given the sisters ability to create multi-million businesses and fully control their own careers I do think there are some positive lessons that can be drawn from discussing the Kardashian family, it just takes a lot of looking.
Do you think Michelle’s stance on reality TV and specifically the Kardashians is a good way to view and discuss reality TV with children?
