Yovanna Ventura Calls Selena Gomez ‘Bella,’ Negating Recent Bieber Hookup Claim

Remember that recent unfounded gossip site claim insisting Justin Bieber hooked up with previous fling Yovanna Ventura in New York City while dating his on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez?

Well, it turns out Yovanna recently complimented Selena when a fan asked the 18-year-old model on Instagram for her opinion of the actress-singer.

Going further, the Miami model then admonished another fan for having an Instagram user name that insulted Gomez.

According to a screengrab posted by OceanUp, on October 4 an Instagram user identified as “TeamOfSelly” posted a picture of Selena, with the caption,

“Yovanna, describe Selena in 5 words tag her.”

The fitness model’s classy response? “Just one, bella,” which translates as “beautiful” in Italian.

After noticing another fan on Instagram with the username “YovannaBetterThanSlutena” in the comments section, Yovanna politely wrote to the fan, saying, “But that username has got to change, please.”

Back in September, Hollywood Life claimed a source alleged Bieber “flew out Yovanna to Fashion Week on his dime on Sept. 9 and then went to Vegas to be with Selena. So he is having his cake and eating it too.”

The gossip site, which has a reputation for favoring sensationalism over facts, insinuated that Justin cheated on Selena during New York Fashion Week, also claiming Selena was unaware her on-off boyfriend had met up with Yovanna.

Those claims were false then, and they still are.

As Inquisitr reported at the time, a well-placed source told us Bieber did not fly Ventura to New York City as she was already in the Big Apple for Fashion Week, and had been for at least five days while she walked in shows.

Additionally, Justin flew to Los Angeles, not Las Vegas, after his brief visit to New York to appear at Fashion Rocks, in order to testify in a deposition at a law office in Santa Monica for a lawsuit.

The insider then added, “Yovanna and Justin hung out as friends — briefly — while he got ready for Fashion Rocks. His manager Scooter Braun, grandparents and others were also in the hotel suite.”

The Inquisitr was previously told that Selena knew Justin met up with Yovanna and that he had reason to do so.

“They hadn’t seen each other in months, and Justin wanted to tell Yovanna face to face that he is involved with Selena,” our source explained last month.

Eight days later, Bieber unfollowed Ventura on Instagram on September 17.

Fast forward to today, October 7. Hollywood Life is musing that Ventura was “waving the white flag in surrender?” over “rivalry with Selena Gomez… for Justin Bieber’s attentions.”

The website then posed the question whether Yovanna defended Selena because she has “gracefully passed the baton now that Justin and Selena may be back together again.”

At least this time Hollywood Life is owning its reporting as speculation, if nothing else.
