Selena Gomez Admits Taylor Swift Is ‘Begging’ Her To Move To New York City
Despite gossip site hysteria, no-one but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez know whether the on-off couple have split up. But, it’s possible the actress-singer may be moving on – at least, location-wise.
Speaking to E! from the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel before a later screening of her latest movie Rudderless on Tuesday, the 22-year-old revealed she is being urged to move to New York City.
“I’ve always said that I want to have a love affair and live there,” Selena explained, adding that one of her BFF’s, Taylor Swift, is trying to convince her to switch zipcodes.
“Taylor has been begging me to live there,” Gomez adds. “She’s like, ‘It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.’ Everyone always says I’m more New York when they meet me so maybe it would be good for me. I don’t spend enough time there.”
Given Swift’s on-record dislike of Bieber, it’s not surprising the “Shake It Off” songstress is keen for her pal to hotfoot it to New York City.
As previously reported, it’s rumored Selena was/is upset over Justin taking supermodel pal Kendall Jenner to dinner last Tuesday, while all three were at Paris Fashion Week.
The day after, Selena flew home solo to Los Angeles. Hours later, she unfollowed Justin on Instagram after posting two, cryptic tweets. She wrote, “Sometimes we think we aren’t good enough. But then I realize when I think I’m alone I have God,” adding, “We have to learn the hard way sometimes.”
A fallout amid claims of flirting between Justin and Kendall and her sister Kylie, while they partied with Selena at the Coachella Festival in April is supposedly the root of alleged bad blood. Neither Justin or Selena have commented on recent claims that they have broken up and which may turn out to be false.
On Sunday, the Canadian singer Instagrammed a romantic kissing pic of the couple taken during their Caribbean trip on Sunday.

To E!, Selena said nothing of the sub-drama with Justin in Paris, but did reveal, “It was my first time at any Fashion Week. It was like being thrown in the fire.”
“You’re in the middle of all of it, and it was towards the end so it’s pretty stressful,” Selena added.”I wanted to take pictures of everything. I was like, ‘I want this one and this one and I want that one!'”
Meanwhile, the pop princess killed it on the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Vista Theater last night for the Rudderless screening.
Selena was all smiles as she wowed in a gorgeous, Dior mini-skater dress with a plunging cleavage and black heels to walk the red carpet.
The Disney alum completed her on-trend look with drop earrings and wore her dark hair in a neat bun.
Selena was joined on the carpet by first-time director and acclaimed actor William H. Macy and his wife, actress Felicity Huffman. Both older stars also star in the film alongside Billy Crudup, Laurence Fishburne, Anton Yelchin, Jamie Chung, among others.

Before the screening, Gomez expressed her pride in Rudderless, in an Instagram note.
“I genuinely feel cheesy sometimes promoting certain projects but this one… I’m not in a whole lot of but I can’t even begin to express how beautiful this movie is. And every single person in it. Parents, peeps -this one is absolutely touching. SO proud of Bill Macy! Check it out. #RUDDERLESS,” she enthused.
After stepping into more adult film fare with last year’s Spring Breakers with James Franco and Getaway with Ethan Hawker, Rudderless is a chance for the Latina to expand on her acting chops.
Selena plays the minor role of Kate, ex-girlfriend of student Josh Manning, who is gunned down in a mass shooting. His father (Crudup), eventually finds comfort through bringing his son’s unreleased songs to life with a local band.
“It’s a film of redemption,” Macy previously told CraveOnline, Mail Online reports. “Billy Crudup is so winning, you really want him to succeed.”
Rudderless was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival back in January. It opens in US theaters and becomes available on VOD on October 17.
For Selena and Justin, only time will tell where the pair’s relationship is at. But, the Bieb’s possible loss could be New York City’s gain.
