Cannon’s New Ink Proves Nick’s Got Mariah Carey ‘Off His Back’
Despite splitting from his famous wife and being mum on divorce rumors, Nick Cannon is not showing any signs of being a man whose marriage is on the rocks. In fact, Cannom just celebrated another birthday, albeit a tad early. While at his B-day bash, he removed his shirt and unveiled some new ink. What’s noteworthy of Nick’s new tattoo is that it proves he’s gotten “Mariah Carey” off his back and has turned to Jesus — sort of, citing a report from IBTimes.
Cannon must have figured the best way to usher in the big 3-4 is to get some work done on his back and change the “Mariah” tattoo into something permanent. Nick’s been tight-lipped about his split from his wife of six years but, as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Simply put, the Americas Got Talent host left no question about whether the split from Mariah Carey was headed for a divorce.
Thursday, DJ Nick Cannon was on the 1s and 2s at Playhouse Nightclub on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. There, he spun records to a packed house of people getting their grooves on. At some point during the set, Nick removed his shirt and two things were obvious: old boy has been putting in work at the gym and he and Mariah Carey are divorce-bound.
The latter may be a stretch; Nick and his babies’ mama can always reconcile. However, the ladies must have gotten that fuzzy feeling after seeing evidence that Cannon was single, ready to mingle and looking forward to life sans his soon-to-be-ex-wife.
Nick’s new ink, according to insiders, was strategically crafted to be an image of Jesus and a large crucifix. And based on the pain and hassle of getting the original removed, it made perfect sense for the media mogul to dress over the tattoo of his estranged wife’s name. After Carey bared all for his birthday last year, who could have imagined a year later they’d be eying divorce court?
Back in 2008, Nick Cannon got the body art ahead of his wedding to Mariah Carey to profess his love to her. In return, she got the words, “Mrs. Cannon” inscribed on the body of an inked butterfly, which was tatted on the lower back.
Meanwhile, Amber Rose, who recently filed to divorce her husband Wiz Khalifa, was in the crowd pumping up the volume. Recently, rumors cropped up that Nick, her new manager, and Amber were getting their romance on. However, judging by the way Rose was grinding with Nick Simmons, son of the legendary KISS singer, the buzz apparently had no merit. Besides, at the end of the night, she left with a “Nick” alright, but not Mariah’s estranged hubby.
And what’s up with Nick leaving the club with Heidi Klum? Well, expect a “Nick Cannon dating Heidi Klum” rumor to start trending on social media soon.
