Naya Rivera Was Still With Big Sean When He Wrote ‘I Don’t F**k With You’

Naya Rivera is probably more than a little tired of hearing stories about how ex-boyfriend Big Sean wrote his unforgettable diss song “I Don’t F**k with You.”

Although most people know that the rapper wrote the song about his relationship with the Glee actress, a lot of fans aren’t aware that he was still with Rivera when Sean put pen to paper. During his chat with the boys and girls at MTV News, Naya’s ex-boyfriend spilled the gossipy beans about the song and how it came to life.

Most jilted lovers probably wait until the relationship is actually on the proverbial rocks before penning a breakup song. Since Big Sean obviously saw the writing on the wall, he started assembling the Naya Rivera tune while they were still a couple.

“I wasn’t angry, man. You know, the funny thing about ‘I Don’t F**k With You’ is that I actually wrote that while I was in a relationship. I wasn’t bitter. I wrote that while I was with my ex.”

Ouch. Again, Naya Rivera is no doubt extremely tired of all the headlines her ex is generating these days. Unfortunately for the actress, she’d better prepare herself for the long haul. Since the lyric video for “I Don’t F**k with You” just dropped, chances are folks will continue to chat about the world’s ultimate breakup song for at least a few more months. Sorry, Naya. Try to stay away from social media for a while.

According to Music Times, Naya Rivera began dating the rapper in 2013. Although they got engaged last October, the couple decided to officially call it quits in April. Details about the breakup are few and far between, though it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that things didn’t exactly end on a very positive note.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Big Sean began dating Ariana Grande following the end of his relationship with Naya Rivera. To ensure that Grande doesn’t end up in the rapper’s lyrics, she should probably make sure she doesn’t give him any lyrical ammunition. Then again, maybe they could collaborate on their breakup song.

At the moment, Sean seems to really love spending time with the “Problem” singer.

“Me and her make a lot of music together and the chemistry between me and her when we work is great.”
