Tiger Woods Restaurateur? Infamous Golfer To Open Sports And Dining Club
Tiger Woods wears many hats: professional golfer, father, cheating ex-husband, and headline fodder, to name a few. Now, the infamous athlete, whose multiple extramarital affairs brought him massive unwanted media attention beginning in November 2009, plans to become a restaurateur. That’s right. Tiger Woods is opening a restaurant. The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club has a planned opening date of 2015, reported the Washington Post.
The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club could be located in part of a downtown marketplace called Harbourside Place. Although the project is still in the planning phase, reports indicate that Tiger Woods’s restaurant could be set in a space measuring a whopping 5,900 square feet. The golfer spoke with Palm Beach Post about his decision to open a sports and dining club at the $150 million entertainment complex, which is opening this fall.
“I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal. I wanted to build it locally where I live and where I could help support the community.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Tiger Woods is a terrible tipper, according to ESPN sports writer Rick Reilly. Maybe that will change once he gets into the restaurant business. The golfer’s tight-fisted ways when it comes to tipping doesn’t only affect waitstaff. Valets and little girls with lemonade stands are just as unlikely to receive a sizable tip from Woods, Reilly said.
“[Tiger is] always like, ‘I don’t carry cash.’ I know a valet here in town that stands between Tiger and his car just to get his $2. He’s really terrible. I’ve seen Phil Mickelson buy a 50-cent cup of a lemonade from a little girl and give her $100. When he leaves the Masters each year, he gives the guys $2,500. Tiger gives them nothing. I was with Phil once, and it was raining. He sees a homeless guy, and he gets out, parks his car and gets out his umbrella to give to the guy. Tiger would charge the guy!”

In case you missed it, Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods admitted to having sexual affairs with a long list of women during his marriage to Swedish former bikini model Elin Nordegren, with whom he has two children. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the list allegedly included a porn star, a cocktail waitress, and a British television presenter.
“I was unfaithful,” Tiger Woods said when news of his indiscretions hit the media. “I had affairs. I cheated. What I did is not acceptable, and I am the only person to blame… I knew my actions were wrong, but I convinced myself that normal rules did not apply.”
