Diem Brown is in the hospital with kidney troubles just before another round of chemotherapy was set to begin. According to People Magazine , the reality star was going to start treatment last Tuesday but doctors found a blockage in her kidneys that has delayed the next step. A tumor was blocking Brown’s kidneys and she was forced to have emergency surgery last week after being rushed to the emergency room on Thursday.
“I didn’t realize that all the back pain was because of my kidneys. They told me there I had complete blockage of my left kidney and 75 percent blockage of my right because of swelling and tumors, so they had to do a surgery and put in stents so things could flow normally again.”
Diem Brown is known for her appearances on MTV’s The Challenge . She has publicly struggled with cancer for the past several years, and has bravely decided to chronicle some of her experience with the deadly disease. Not only has Diem posted on Instagram, but she also wrote a blog for People.com . She previously had two separate bouts of ovarian cancer and was just diagnosed with colon cancer.
Her life-long friend CT (who you may also know from the MTV reality show), posted a photo of himself sleeping next to Diem in her hospital bed.
“Sometimes just being there for someone can be the difference between a good and bad day. @diembrown could definitely use a few… Please goto her support page: www.medgift.com/diemsnextchallenge #medgift,” CT captioned the photo above.
Diem and CT’s relationship has certainly been up and down throughout the years, but it’s clear that he still loves and cares about Diem, as made evident in the aforementioned photo.
According to MTV News , Diem is keeping her spirits up despite being so sick. She has a great support system, which is something that is so important during times like these. Fans of Brown really hope that she pulls through and kicks cancer in the tail once more. Diem absolutely deserves to overcome this disease once and for all.
“I was so frustrated that it seems my body keeps throwing me curve balls over and over. It’s hard to keep your spirit and your mind positive…but I’m glad we are catching these curve balls and fixing them, one by one,” Diem told People .
Everyone knows that Diem is strong enough to beat cancer — for good! If you would like to donate money to help Diem curb some of her medical expenses, you can do so by going to this link . As previously reported by The Inquisitr , MedGift is a site that Diem started herself after she overcame cancer. It’s meant to help people who are struggling relieve the financial burden of medical bills. As of today, she is about $36,000 away from a $100,000 goal.
