George Clooney Wedding Was Not Attended By Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Or Sandra Bullock
George Clooney’s marriage to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin is no doubt going to be a great one, especially if their stunning wedding ceremony and party is anything to go by.
It has been widely reported that, while the wedding was a closed and intimate affair, it was meticulously planned to the very last detail by none other than George Clooney himself, who so far has been the perfect boyfriend, fiancee and son-in-law.
While the George Clooney-Amal Alamuddin wedding was intimate, it did include a star-studded range of guests who are close to the couple, but, as reported by Showbiz411, that did not include Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt who had been slated to be George’s best man on the big day.
Despite the fact that most tabloids insisted for most of the summer that Pitt would be best man, it turns out that George and Amal decided not to even invite him and Jolie, we assume, for “political” reasons.
Rumor has it that either George Clooney’s dad, Nick, or perhaps his best mate, Grant Heslov, assumed the honor of best man, while people who were expected to be at the wedding simply weren’t there, including producer Jerry Weintraub and Sandra Bullock.
Numerous publications reported that guests at the wedding ranged from real close friends like actor Richard Kind and Matt Damon, to business associates like CAA agent Bryan Lourd, Anna Wintour of Vogue magazine and Stefano Tonchi of W Magazine.
George clearly wanted to make sure that his guests had a great time at the wedding, as The Inquisitr reported on September 22, quoting an LA Times report, he forked out big money to put his esteemed guests up in the very best accommodation.
According to the report, Clooney paid for his guests to stay at a seven-star hotel at a cost of over $1,500 a night per room. As per a source who spoke to the LA Times,
“The ceremony is happening at a 14th century palace on Venice’s Grand Canal, the guests staying at a seven-star hotel where rooms start at $1,600 a night and the entertainment being provided by Lana del Rey. Whether that information is accurate is a wait-and-see situation.”
