ISIS Sympathizers Attack Students At Istanbul University [Video]
On September 26, a group of students at Istanbul University decided to protest the brutality of ISIS. Unfortunately, they were attacked by a group of masked attackers. The assailants used large sticks with nails sticking out of them to beat the students at the university.
The students were angry, and accused the campus security of not trying to help them.
“We know where they get their power from. The AKP [ruling Justice and Development Party] is sending truckloads of guns to the ISIL gangs to murder people in Rojava, and if it is providing all manners of support to those committing massacres, then this attack cannot be separated from the AKP’s policies.”
According to reports, the masked attackers were allegedly affiliated with the Muslim Youth Organization. The attackers were also reported to be throwing things, and one student was injured because one of the attackers threw a soda bottle at their head.
The students at Istanbul University released a press statement about the attack.
“As university students, we had come together to stop the murderers with blood on their hands and the ISIL gang, which has murdered children and raped women in Rojava and Kobane, when a 20-person group sporting black masks attacked us with sticks studded with nails.”
Three of the assailants were detained after the attack by campus security. They also tore a poster that said “ISIL, get out of the Middle East.” off the wall.
The video is incredibly stunning to see how extremism can affect a group of youths. Hopefully in the future, universities and cities will be able to get wind of these attack and prevent them before they happen. The corruption in the government needs to stop so ISIS is no longer provided with weapons and money.
New York and Paris subways have also increased security due to the threat of an ISIS attack. According to a report by The Inquisitr, an intelligence operation in Iraq uncovered a plot to attack the subway systems in New York and Paris.
Senator Bill Nelson shared his thoughts on ISIS and their capabilities.
“This is a terrorist group the likes of which we haven’t seen before, and we better stop them now. It ought to be pretty clear when they start cutting off the heads of journalists and say they’re going to fly the black flag of ISIS over the White House that ISIS is a clear and present danger.”
