‘The Big Bang Theory’ Schedule Change And Spoilers About Raj’s Girlfriend [Photos]
Fans of The Big Bang Theory are going to be presented with an interesting equation to work out over the next few weeks: Does double the Sheldon equal double the fun?
The show premiered with this week with two back-to-back episodes, and evidently CBS was impressed with the ratings that the double episodes produced. For the next three weeks, back-to-back episodes of The Big Bang Theory will air on Mondays. Unfortunately, this massive Sheldon overload is going to cause a big CBS schedule shakeup that might confuse fans of other shows.
The other CBS series affected by the schedule change are Mom and The Millers. According to TV Line, Mom was supposed to premiere next Monday at 8:30 p.m. However, The Big Bang Theory double-up has pushed its premiere back to Thursday, October 30. This is the same night that The Big Bang Theory will return to its usual Thursday time slot (it will air after Mom).
The Millers premiere has also been moved. Season 2 will now start on Monday, Oct. 20 at 8:30. To make matters even more confusing, Mom and The Millers are going to trade back their time slots in January.
The craziest thing about this confusing schedule change is that CBS isn’t treating viewers to back-to-back new episodes of The Big Bang Theory — the network shifted everything around to make room for reruns of the show. Over the next three Mondays, each new episode of The Big Bang Theory will be followed by a rerun. Hopefully, fans will be able to find their favorite shows.
On the plus side of things, fans who hated Kaley Cuoco’s haircut should enjoy seeing the former Cheesecake Factory waitress rocking her longer locks in the repeats.
In less annoying Big Bang Theory news, you can read on for a few spoilers about what’s going to go down during the next two episodes of the show. According to Spoiler TV, next week’s episode is titled “The First Pitch Sufficiency.” Howard will get the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a Los Angeles Angels game, and of course he’s going to be petrified. Sheldon and Amy will also attempt to prove that they’re a “superior couple” to Penny and Leonard. Astronaut Mike Massimino will guest-star as himself.
In the following week’s “The Hook-Up Reverberation,” fans of The Big Bang Theory will get to learn a little more about Raj’s girlfriend Emily. According to the plot description, she won’t be the biggest fan of Penny.
“Raj’s honesty about his past comes back to haunt him after his girlfriend, Emily, is cold to Penny. Also, the guys consider becoming part-owners in Stuart’s comic book store.”
Emily’s dislike of Penny probably stems from the time that Raj and Penny almost hooked up. However, hopefully the girls will work out their differences so Emily can start hanging out with the geek girlfriend/wife group that just keeps on growing.
Are you looking forward to seeing more of Emily on The Big Bang Theory?
