‘Transformers 5′: Michael Bay Called Back By Peter Cullen, Will Fans’ Heads Explode?
Transformers 5 news generated some excitement earlier in the month after it was announced that both Michael Bay and Mark Whalberg were out, while it’s rumored that Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf could potentially make a return for future sequels. But now the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, is saying director Michael Bay is needed once again to add many a explosion to the movie… and perhaps in the process, he may ironically make Transformers fans’ heads explode.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, if you are interested in what the Tranformers 5 plot details are, check out these articles that explain the rumors and how the story may evolve (pun intended) after the last movie.
At this point in his career, director Michael Bay has become synonymous with movies that features explosions. Lots of them. There’s even a hilarious video that makes fun of this fact by answering the question: “What would Pixar’s Up movie look like if directed by Michael Bay.” The director also has a tendency to mess around with franchises cherished for certain details, hence why there was a backlash to Bay directing the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
While some fans may not like Bay’s directing style, Peter Cullen has nothing but respect for the director since he managed to resurrect the Autobots and the Decepticons on the big screen.
“I have a great deal of respect for him,” Cullen said. “He generates a great deal of excitement and energy. He’s really a hands-on director. My son is a stunt man and worked in Chicago doing a lot of the driving sequences…he said he’s a very, very diligent, hands-on guy. He creates a great deal of energy and puts everybody on their toes. I would certainly miss him. I think he’s brilliant, his mind is unbelievable.”
According to Cinema Blend, Cullen also called out Michael Bay directly, saying that the director should come back for Transformer 5.
“Michael if you’re [reading] this, I certainly hope you are coming back.”
While Cullen may be Optimus Prime, that doesn’t mean he knows anything about the Transformers 5 plot details.
“It would be very difficult me to express any of the future on Transformers, but certainly the excitement that it’s generated of where it could possibly go is up to anybody to figure out. I don’t have access to any of that information.”
Would you want to have Michael Bay back for the Transformer 5 movie… explosions and all?
