WWE News: Sting All But Confirmed To Have A Match In WWE At WrestleMania 31

WWE has been without one man for decades, and every fan seemingly wanted to at least know what it was like to see him wrestle just once. He was an Icon, and a man who proved he didn’t need the WWE to become a pro-wrestling legend. Sting has been with seemingly every major wrestling company other than WWE, but now he has finally made his way to the place where most wrestlers dream to be.

Sting signed a merchandise deal and a sort of Legends deal. He also signed with 2K Sports for the WWE 2K15 video game. Many believe that Sting would be great for at least one match in the WWE before retiring. Sting wants it, too. He has expressed everywhere possible that he wants to wrestle at least once. He said that even if he cannot face The Undertaker, he feels he can face just about anywhere. He named Triple H, John Cena, and others by name, but obviously we all want to see Sting vs The Deadman.

Undertaker has been in rough shape after his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 . So it is doubtful he will be back in WWE after the nagging injuries have finally caught up with him. Taker would never come back if he felt he couldn’t deliver a terrific match. If he felt he was even going to give 90 percent instead of 100 percent, he wouldn’t do it. That is a professional attitude really, but at the same time, who has not dreamed for The Icon vs The Phenom?

Sources are saying that regardless of Undertaker’s condition, there is almost no doubt that Sting will have one match in WWE. He will most likely wrestle at WrestleMania 31 in California. That happens to be his home state, so it makes a lot of sense for him to wrestle for the first time in WWE and go into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Most sources believe that WWE is under the impression that Sting will wrestle at least once in WWE; they have been trying to sell a bunch of Sting gear, with new material coming out at a later point. Sting having merchandise already being sold before he is signed to a talent contract is pretty nuts and doesn’t happen a lot. No one really has done that outside a talent or normal legends deal.

Who Sting takes on in the ring is unknown at this point, but at least WWE wants to have him wrestle once. Seemingly every Sting fan has wanted to see this. No matter the opponent, one match in WWE would be awesome to see. Sting has stated that he loves being with WWE, and “it was about time” he came in.
