Milla Jovovich Steals Spotlight at ‘The Three Musketeers’ Premiere
Actress Milla Jovovich and her director husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, may have collaborated on “The Three Musketeers” remake, but the spotlight was solely hers at the movie’s premiere which took place earlier this week in London.
Jovovich, who plays a action-heroine update of Milady de Winter, looked stunning in a beaded Salvatore Ferragamo dress as she discussed the film with reporters.
“Fighting in the corset and the 30-pound skirt is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in an action film,” Milla joked. “I hope everyone enjoys it.”
The 35-year-old Resident Evil star says she was drawn to play M’lady straight away and gets irritated when people say her character is manipulative or immoral.
“M’lady is a woman with no country. She’s a mercenary type, the kind of person that you never know where she’s from or where’s she’s been or where she’s going… she’s good at what she does, she’s worked her whole life to be as good as she is and she’s not about to throw it all away to move to the country and have babies with Athos.”
In addition to Milla and her hsuband, Orlando Bloom – who stars as the villainous Duke Of Buckingham in the film – was among those at the premiere, along with Ray Stevenson (Porthos) Matthew McFadyen (Athos), Luke Evans (Aramis), and Logan Lerman – who plays D’Artagnan.
Jovovich, Bloom, and the rest of The Three Musketeers cast are scheduled to hit US theaters on October 21st. Until then, you’ll have to settle for the following trailer:
