‘James Bond 24’: Kate Upton, Lucy Watson, And Joanne Froggatt All Want To Be The ‘Bond Girl’
With James Bond 24 about to start filming this winter, there’s a lot of speculation over who the prospective Bond Girl might be, never mind the final title for the movie.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, Bond 24 will begin filming on December 6, with actor Daniel Craig reprising the role of James Bond for the fourth time. Director Sam Mendes, who was at the helm of the last installment, Skyfall, will be returning for the new film as well. But what has fans of the British super spy so excited is that an old James Bond villain might make a return for not only movie 24, but James Bond 25.
The lineup of women who have auditioned for the role of the Bond Girl is getting to be a long list. Previous rumors claimed French actress Lea Seydoux might be a frontrunner, but nothing came from those reports. Other names include Cara Delevingne and Penelope Cruz, although Kate Upton was once seriously talking about it.
“It’s a very prestigious title, and it would be a very cool role. I would need to go through some intense training to learn all the Bond Girl moves.”
Downtown Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt was asked by The Sun if she auditioned for James Bond 24, and while she did not give a straight answer, she definitely seems interested.
“I can’t comment really on that one.” she said. “Who wouldn’t like to be a Bond girl? I am not the Bond girl type. I would probably be more a Q or an M… we’ll see. I don’t know.”
Lucy Watson also admits she wants to take a break from her previous roles and claims being a Bond Girl “would be my ideal role.” Of course, she admits she’s just looking for a role that is rough and raunchy.
‘I would love to play some f**ked-up druggie in a play or a film one day – something really challenging,” Watson said. “It’s so far from what I am, or [otherwise] an introverted person.”
The James Bond website MI6 claims Norwegian actress Ingrid Bolso Berdal, who was in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, was screen tested for the role. The MI6 list also includes Norwegian actress Synnove Macody Lund, Danish actress Birgitte Hjort Sorensen, and Swedish actresses Disa Östrand, and Ida Engvoll. But so far any final casting decision have not been made.
The James Bond 24 release date is currently set for November of 2015.
