Gabrielle Union on Nude Photo Leak: ‘We Have Done Nothing Wrong’
Gabrielle Union was recently added to the list of celebrity nude photo leaks online — and she is not happy about it at all.
A series of topless photos that she sent to her now-husband Dwyane Wade were recently leaked online. According to TMZ, Gabrielle Union did not hesitate to come forward and make a joint statement along with Dwyane about this digital hate crime.
“It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.”
Gabrielle Union then continues by stating how this is, in her opinion, just another reflection of what has been going on for many years – the victimization of women and children.
“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”
The 41-year old actress, known primarily for such hit movies as Bring It On and Bad Boys II and the hit television series Being Mary Jane, is reportedly not letting this incident slip through the cracks without a “federal spotlight.” Her legal team will be pursuing this digital hate crime further along with the FBI to try and get to the bottom of this massive nude photo leak that has taken the Internet by storm in recent weeks.
As mentioned above, Gabrielle Union is definitely not the first celebrity that has been victimized by this nude photo leak, which has been referred to as “The Fappening.” Other A-list actresses, including Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, were affected by the leaks.
Even though Reddit banned the subreddit titled “The Fappening” (which is where this massive nude photo leak originated), it seems as if the pictures were simply leaked elsewhere on a vast number of other websites and blogs.
Instead of focusing primarily on herself and her own photos, Gabrielle Union did the honorable thing within her statement by sending out her love and support for everyone else that has been victimized by this leak.
“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes — We send our love, support and prayers. We have done nothing wrong.”
Among all of the Twitter responses and reactions that basically praise the people that leaked these photos of Gabrielle Union, there are quite a few that shine with encouraging words of support for the actress which are worth mentioning.
I feel bad for #gabrielleunion she don’t deserve that exposure. She’s a good woman. #lbvs

Gabrielle Union’s nudes have been leaked. I’m really sick of the invasion of privacy.
