As expected the Apple Store on Thursday afternoon began accepting iPhone 4S pre-orders for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. Apple options include carrier-locked models and full-price unlocked GSM versions that allow for worldwide travel and carrier changes with no early termination fees.
Prices range from $199 for a locked 16GB model with a two-year contract all the way up to $849 for an unlocked device with no contract and 64GB memory. International pricing is also available and varies based on region.
According to Apple the new iPhone 4S devices will begin arriving at customers homes by October 14 although some Apple customers in the past have received their smartphones ahead of schedule.
The iPhone 4S not only offers more memory options, it features Apple’s revolutionary Siri voice assistant which allows users to interact with their smartphone using only their voice. The iPhone 4S also features an ultra-fast A5 dual-core processor along with an 8MP camera that can record in full HD.
The iPhone 4S also offers the new and improved iOS 5 mobile operating system and access to the iCloud file storage system along with Apple’s already sleek design.
Do you plan on pre-ordering the iPhone 4S or perhaps picking one up in stores when they arrive?
