New Video Game Releases For The Week Of September 21, 2014
There are a good deal of new video game releases for the week of September 21, 2014 with Nintendo receiving a batch of highly needed games this week.
Starting off the week of new video game releases is the next big Nintendo Wii U release, Hyrule Warriors. The game is a mash-up from the developers of Dynasty Warriors using Nintendo’s Zelda franchise for the setting, characters, and plot. The Dynasty Warriors combat feel is implemented into this Zelda-themed entry, where combat is based around one character fighting waves upon waves of enemies in frantic, combo-driven fighting. The game was released in Japan several weeks ago to positive reviews, and will launch in North America on September 26, according to the official site.
Disney Infinity 2.0 is also out this week for Wii U owners, as well as owners of just about every other console save the original Wii and hand held systems. Disney Infinity was Disney Interactive’s take on the highly successful Skylanders series from Activision. The game is built around a physical base that connects to your console of choice and upon the base is placed figurines, discs, and other purchasable accessories that appear in the game itself. These figures allow you and your children to play as various Disney characters in selected worlds such as Monsters University, The Lone Ranger, and so on. The 2.0 version included in this weeks new video game releases introduces the game to the next gen consoles. In addition, Disney Infinity 2.0 is taking advantage of the Marvel acquisition by Disney and is launching with the Marvel Superheroes Starter Pack, as well as additional packs including the Guardians of the Galaxy as well as The Avengers.
Owners of the original Disney Infinity can use all their purchased content on the new entry, with the exception of Xbox 360 and 3DS owners not being able to use their bases on the new consoles. A complete list of what is and is not compatible with Disney Infinity 2.0 is available here.
