Justin Bieber, David Hasselhoff, Cody Simpson Collab On Video: For Charity Or Music?

Justin Bieber and David Hasselhoff a.k.a. “The Hoff” found solidarity last year over their respective rough rides in the press.

So, when it was recently claimed the former Baywatch star would be appearing in a music video , which Bieber and writing partner Australian idol Cody Simpson shot on Friday and Saturday for their upcoming duets album, it seemed almost logical.

The U.K’s Mirror reported an on-set source revealed 40 dogs would be used, and that they were exclusively told Hasselhoff was invited to guest “because Justin is a huge fan of The Hoff, he thinks he’s a legend.”

The paper has since deleted the original article, and a tweet posted — then deleted — on Sunday by Hasselhoff to Justin and Cody may suggest the trio got together for charity, not a music video.

Or, perhaps both?

“What a great day @CodySimpson @justinbieber,” Hasselhoff wrote, referring to meeting the boys on Saturday, September 20.

The 62-year-old actor added: “Emile our director for new video..signing t shirts for charity! RESPECT!”

As previously reported, legendary director Wayne Isham , 56, whose credits includes iconic music videos Van Halen’s (“Jump”), The Rolling Stones (“Rock and a Hard Place”), Sheryl Crow (“The First Cut Is The Deepest”), Bon Jovi (“Living on a Prayer”), Michael Jackson’s (“You are not alone”) Pink Floyd (“Money”), to name a few, helmed Bieber and Simpson’s first music video over two days at a secret location in Los Angeles.

It’s likely he was drafted in to give the duo’s reportedly days-away debut single , a cracking visual to go with it. Justin, 20, and Cody’s, 17, duets album drops in November.

While Hasselhoff’s tweet refers to a video, he also mentions a director named Emile — not Wayne Isham . As yet, details are scant. However, we will update.

Update : The Hoff, the Biebs and Simpson actually did collaborate on the music video, as the actor told PEOPLE magazine.

“We had a lot of fun, and he’s a cool guy,” Hasselhoff said of Bieber.

He went on to say, “You’ll hear more about it, but we’re just keeping it quiet because it’s really a cool video, and we had a blast.”

Meanwhile, hot on the heels of a domestic bliss cooking Instagram video posted by Justin on Thursday, which showed him and girlfriend Selena Gomez in playful mode in a kitchen, comes yet more Jelena sightings.

After the first day of shooting the video on Friday, Justin, Cody and others rocked up to the Nobu Los Angeles restaurant .

In an Instagram snap re-posted by Bieber’s tour musical director and guitarist, Dan Kanter, Selena was seen standing in front of the “Confident” singer, surrounded by a group of pals in what looks like a private dining room at Nobu.

Kanter wrote, “#repost @justinstirling Nobu dinner with the crew #yellowtailjalapeno (sic).”

Cody is also in the photo, wearing the same clothes seen in Friday social media postings and a pic tweeted by videographer Alfredo Flores, taken at Nobu Friday/early Saturday.

The following night, after the second day of the video shoot, Bieber and Gomez were seen by multiple eyewitnesses at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in Universal City.

Numerous images of the couple were shared on Twitter by random users.

According to fans’ social media posts, Justin and Selena were accompanied at Horror Nights by Pastor Carl Lentz of the Hillsong Church NYC, and pals including Ryan Good, Flores, Lil Za, Shots co-founder John Shahid, Bieber’s childhood buddy Ryan Butler and girlfriend, a female assistant and bodyguards.

As for whatever Hasselhoff, Bieber and Simpson cooked up together on that music video, we are officially agog.
