George Clooney Wedding: Cindy Crawford’s Husband Delivers Plane Filled With Tequila For Reception
George Clooney is planning quite the party for his wedding to Amal Alamuddin.
The actor just received a plane filled with tequila to fuel the festivities, one piloted by Clooney’s friend (and Cindy Crawford’s husband) Rande Gerber. The private plane was stocked with Casamigos Tequila, which is made by the company co-founded by Gerber and Clooney.
Gerber was was photographed boarding the plane, a bottle in each hand (presumably for delivery, not consumption).
Details of the wedding between George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have begun to emerge, with Corriere della Sera reporting that the three-day celebration will include a ceremony at Ca’Fersetti, a 14th-century estate on the Grand Canal in Venice.
The wedding will be a star-studded affair, with Lana Del Rey reportedly performing for the couple.
Sources say the ceremony will take place September 27. George Clooney himself actually revealed some details of the wedding earlier this month at a Celebrity Fight Night in Tuscany.
“I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places,” Clooney said while receiving a humanitarian award.
Though normally more quiet about his relationships, Clooney has opened up about his love of Alamuddin and denied rumors that their religious differences were a problem. After reports that Alamuddin’s mother opposed the marriage on religious grounds, Clooney responded with an editorial published in the Daily Mail.
“[T]o exploit religious differences where none exist is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous,” Clooney said. “We have family members all over the world, and the idea that someone would inflame any part of that world for the sole reason of selling papers should be criminal.”
George Clooney has still not officially declared when his wedding to Amal Alamuddin will take place, but by the sounds of it, the guests won’t be wanting for tequila.
