‘Big Brother 16’ Spoilers: Veto Winner Crowned, Did Frankie Break The Rules?
Before this week’s rewind on Big Brother 16, Frankie Grande seemed unstoppable. He held the coveted titles of Head of Household and veto winner. However, all of that changed Wednesday night when Victoria’s presumed eviction was halted before the voting even began. The house’s events from the previous week were erased and all house guests were back to square one.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, loss number one for Frankie was the re-run of the Head of Household competition. This time, it was Caleb who got the top spot. When he revealed his nominations, Caleb took the first step to get Frankie out by nominating him and Victoria for eviction. The Big Brother Network blog further notes that Caleb, in his unrestricted honesty, told Frankie about the house’s plan to get him out this week. It is a safe bet that Frankie went into Friday’s veto competition with an extra sense of urgency to prevent his own departure.
If Frankie was boosted by a sense of panic, in the end it did not help. Cody won the power of veto. As Big Brother Network predicts, it is very unlikely Cody will use it. Frankie is set to be booted during the next eviction episode, which, due to CBS’ schedule change, will not happen live.
Throwing a wrench into the scenarios for the final few weeks is the new Team America “mission” — if it can, indeed, be called a “mission.” Both Big Brother Network and CarterMatt report, after piecing together conversations between Derrick and Frankie on the live feeds, that they will receive a bonus of $50,000 if they make it to the Final 2. What was at first uncertain was whether they needed to go to the Final 2 together in order to make that happen. After some analysis, it seems only one has to make it to the Final 2 to get the additional cash.
CarterMatt warned it may be bogus — simply Frankie’s attempt to hold onto Derrick’s loyalty for at least one more week.
What was even more interesting, however, was Frankie’s apparent offer to split his Team America winnings with Derrick.
Quoting from Big Brother Network, “Frankie was saying he’d give Derrick half the TA bonus $50K, so $50K for 2nd + $25K from TA missions + $25K from half of the bonus just offered.”
The blog went on to remind viewers that this is explicitly against the Big Brother rules. CarterMatt called it “a big reality TV no-no.”
If Frankie made such an attempt to “bribe” Derrick, Big Brother Network guesses he cannot be as much of a Big Brother fan as he claims to be. It is a well-known rule in the Big Brother universe. Both The Inquisitr and Bustle have in the past questioned Frankie’s assertions that he is, indeed, a superfan of the show.
Big Brother next airs Sunday on CBS.
