Ronda Rousey On Ray Rice: ‘It Would’ve Been Much Different’ If She Was In The Elevator
Ronda Rousey, one of the best MMA fighters of all time, did not bite her tongue when asked about her feelings on the Ray Rice domestic violence issue.
Rousey even went as far as saying that “it would’ve been much, much different” if she was in the elevator that day with Ray Rice instead of his then-fiancee Janay.
Even though this interview with TMZ was rather brief, Ronda Rousey was able to bring up several pretty solid points in response to the cameraman’s questions.

Q: What are your thoughts? A man gets a little physically abusive. Should women get in the habit of kinda fighting back even though they know physically it’s a losing battle most of the time?
Ronda Rousey: Wow! That is a loaded question.
Q: It is a loaded question, you know what I mean? You don’t want to take (expletive) from anyone, right? You want them to know that, ‘You don’t have a right to do this.
Ronda Rousey: I think that every person has the right to be able defend themselves and everybody should try as far as their situation.
Q: And Ray Rice getting kicked out of the league potentially – you think that’s a fair punishment for what happened privately?
Ronda Rousey: I mean, I’m not a judge. It’s not my decision. But, i mean, there needs to be some sort of punishment.
Q: What would have happened if you were in the elevator with Ray Rice?
Ronda Rousey: (laughing) It would have been much different – much, much different.

This is not the first time that Ronda Rousey spoke her mind about this particular issue. Recently, she had an opportunity to express herself to Charissa Thompson with Extra:
You need to respect yourself and see what you’re worth and really know what your worth. Unfortunately, I think a lot of women undersell themselves; they don’t know how much they really deserve. I know for a fact that [Janay] deserves more then she believes.
What if Ronda Rousey did have the opportunity to battle Ray Rice in the octagon? That seems to be a trending topic online right now – especially when you pay attention to the responses and reactions her interviews have generated on Twitter:
They should make Ray Rice fight Ronda Rousey.

Give Ray Rice a UFC contract. The man obviously wants to fight women. I’m sure Ronda Rousey would take him on.

It seems as if (1) a lot of people agree with what Ronda Rousey had to say and (2) a lot of people want to see Ronda Rousey and Ray Rice battle it out in a Pay-Per-View UFC match?
What do YOU think?
